She was predeceased by: her husband George Donald Shanks; and her siblings, Elvira Bachman, Vincent Lamble, Howard Lamble, Ruth Wilson and Alphonse Lamble.

She is survived by: her children, Sandra Carless (Kim), Candice Blasich (Richard), George Donald Shanks Jr. and Colleen Bury (Frank). She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.
