He is survived by: his wife Charlene Simmons; his children, Jacqueline Landfair, Jon Eric "Jon Jon" Simmons (Michelle) and Kelli Simmons-Keith (LaDon); his grandchildren, Eboni Vaughn (Jeffrey), Kendra Landfair, Arika Simmons, Dirk, Jordan, Imani Simmons and Nia Simmons; his great grandchildren, Jaycee Vaughn, Jalani Vaughn and Axel Rewitz; and his siblings, Percy Simmons, Sammy Simmons, Charles Simmons, Willie Earl Simmons, Tommy Brown, Dortha Luckett, Essie Mae Reddix, Johnnie Louise Lee, Linda Hope El (Tommy) and Martha El.
