He was predeceased by : his parents, William Karr and Ella Karr (Thiel); his sister Joan Voytas; his brother-in-law Joe Voytas; his brother William Francis Karr; his niece Carol Voytas; and his nephew David Himlin.
He is survived by : his wife Nobuko Karr; his sisters, Mary Himlin and Patricia Turley (Orval); his stepson Jerry Davin (Julia); his granddaughters, Isabella and Abigail Davin; and his nieces and nephews, Cathy Schmidt, Christine Stout (John), Connie Steiman, Mary Beth Demo (Walid), Rebecca Himlin, Carolyn Karr, Laurie Boyd, Paul Voytas (Elizabeth), Michael Karr (Michelle), Robert Himlin (Cathy), Jonathan Himlin, Jeffery Himlin (Shandra), Brian Himlin and Kevin Himlin.
