He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. Homer and Pauline Porritt (White); his wife Arlene Brant; and his brother Dr. Thomas Porritt. He is survived by: his children, Jeff Porritt (Lynn) of Chanhassen, MN, Susan Nelson (Scott) of Hinsdale, IL, Lori Linforth (Jeff) of Northbrook, IL, Amy Peirce (Mike) of St. Joseph, MI and John Porritt (Kris) of Brookfield, WI. He is also survived by fifteen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

“Bill and I can't tell you all how much you all mean to us and we are so sorry to hear about Jacks passing. We are so sorry that we didn't get to the funeral but please know that we were definitely there in spirit. So happy we got to see Jack last summer. He was so positive and loving. We knew he was struggling but he never acted that way. Jack was such a loving man who raised such a wonderful family. You all should be so proud. Love you all. The whole Rahn family.”
