It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Earl Bannow of Saint Joseph, Michigan, born in Flint, Michigan, who passed away on May 27, 2023, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, John T. Bannow and Doris Kelly Bannow; his wife Barbara Hudson; his daughters, Dr. Karen McConnell (Chris) of Libertyville, IL and Elissa Hyatt (Steve) of Fairlawn, OH; his grandchildren, John "Jack", Addy, Hannah, Will Hyatt, Delaney and Parker McConnell; his brothers, Dr. Paul Bannow (Joseph) and Dr. Tom Bannow (Mickey); his siblings-in-law, Janet and Scott Allen; and his nephews, Mike Allen and Brett Allen (Liz).

Memorials may be made to the St. Joseph-Lincoln Senior Center, Caring Circle, Sarett Nature Center, or First Congregational Church, St. Joseph.

“What a great wonderful addition -when the young urologist, John E. Bannow MD---joined The Cedarwood Medical Center. He and Dr. Costello formed the Center's Urology department. Both were pioneers in new urological procedures being practiced in that specialty. Patients many times, mentioned------ "The Twin Cities" are lucky to have a physician like "Dr B". I worked for him, but I felt more like a friend... we had so many conversations re the pension and profit plans and the future etc Roger”
