He was predeceased by : his parents, John Esley Groves and Flossie Groves (Hazen); his stepgranddaughters, Dawn Geiser and April Boswell; and his sister Hazel Gordon (Malcom).
He is survived by : his wife Ellen Cooper Groves (Bradley); his children, John Groves (Ana Dorantes) and Sharilyn Bodie; his siblings, Robert Groves (Arletta) and Betty Jean Miller; his half-siblings, Herb Butterfield (Teresa), Jon Butterfield and Maria Riedthaler (Don); his nieces and nephews, Jeremy, Wesley, Gerard, Gentry Miller, Melanie and Merille Gordon; and his stepchildren, Valerie Price (Kelly), Charles Cooper (Eddie) and Jennifer Cooper Peterson (Steve). He is also survived by his two grandchildren, seven step-grandchildren, and four step-great-grandchildren.
