He was predeceased by: his son Dwight Butler; his parents, Henry Butler and Lucy Butler; and his siblings, Dorothy Everett, Ezil Butler, Otha Lean Bridges-Paul and Garfield Bridges.
He is survived by: his wife Alyne; his children, Alfonso Butler (Taquana) and Terri Taylor (Ricardo, Sr.); his grandchildren, Takaila Butler, DeNea Butler (Donte Stephens), Justin Norris, DeQuan Harden, Quanisha Herring-Gould (Anthony), Terrica Taylor (Darius Smith), Ricardo Taylor, Jr., Dwight Broome and Dion Butler (LaToya); his great grandchildren, Dominique Stephens, Justin Norris, Jr., MaKenzie Herring, Gavin Butler, Aiden Gould and Austin Gould; his daughter-in-law Barbara Butler; and his brother-in-law Clifton Carr.
