He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas "Jack" Buchtel and Charlotte Ann Buchtel (Yoder). He is survived by: his wife Debra J. Buchtel (Sherk); his children, April L. Buchtel and Marc A. Buchtel; his grandchildren, Allen, Hailey, Malachi, Clare, Klowey, Aaden and Paytyn; his brother Don Buchtel (Deb); and his sisters-in-law, Nancy and Tammy Sherk. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews.
A reception was held on Monday, December 23rd 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Pike Funeral and Cremation Services.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donation to The Alano House of Southwest Michigan (http://www.alanohouseofswmichigan.com) which serves those with alcoholism.
