He was predeceased by: his parents, Leendert (Marintje Reedyk) and Jake; and his wife Ruth Reedyk (Visscher). He is survived by: his daughters, Elaine Yskes (Paul) and Lorraine Valk (Jim); his grandchildren, Joshua Yskes (Emily), Phil Yskes, Daniel Yskes (Courtney), Jessalyn VanderHulst (Doug), Dr. Josiah Valk (Brittany), Micah Valk (Hailey) and Isaac Valk (Sara); his great grandchildren, Brenna, Simon, Marcus and Jay; and his siblings, Joan Piekema, Willi Leusink, Martin Reedyk, Len Reedyk and Peter Reedyk.
Visitation was held on Saturday, October 5th 2024 from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM at the St Joseph Christian Reformed (3275 Washington Ave, St Joseph, MI 49085). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, October 5th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
Jake was passionate about spreading the gospel, to honor his legacy, consider donating to his favorite mission.
