He was predeceased by: his parents, B. F. Chandler and Alice Chandler (McQueen); his wife Beverly Chandler; his son Phillip Chandler; and his brothers, Floyd and Bob Chandler.

He is survived by: his sons, Gregg Chandler and John Chandler (Lila); his grandchildren, Joel and Danielle Chandler; and his brother Ed Chandler.
