He was predeceased by: his parents, Merlin Hanson and Mary Alice Hanson. He is survived by: his wife Connie Hanson; his sons, Justin Hanson (Alisa) and Nick Hanson (Tyler); his grandchildren, Brooks and Beckett Hanson; his pets, Baxter and Bentley; and his siblings, Gail Mathews (Tom), Deb Craig (Jay) and Scott Hanson (Laurie).

Memorials may be made to the Hanson Hospice Center in Stevensville.
