She was predeceased by: her parents, John Lorne and Josephine Steele (Hancock); and her siblings, Alvina Tasma, Donald Steele and Luther Steele.
She is survived by: her children, Penny Strine (Daniel) of St. Joseph, Kenneth Rea of New Buffalo, Randy Rea (Donna) of St. Joseph and Debra Rea of St. Joseph; her grandchildren, Kevin, Keith, Matt, Sherrie and Vanessa; and her siblings, John Steele and Edith McLeod (Bernard). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
