He was predeceased by: his parents, Milton Essig and Edith Essig (Hoge); and his sister-in-law Judy Hoge. He is survived by: his siblings, Roger Hoge, Darlene Odachowski (Edward), Diana Ott (Ron) and Randy Essig (Cynthia). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
