He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Smith and Dorothy Smith (Fleming); his wife Bev; his daughter-in-law Jennifer; and his daughter Debra Barrows.
He is survived by: his sons, Greg Smith (Wendy) of St. Joseph and Douglas Smith (JoAnne) of Bangor; his son-in-law Richard Barrows (Josefa) of South Bend; and his grandchildren, Rebekah Shoemaker (James), Aimee Wesco (Virgil), Kathleen Reynolds (Logan), Carissa Barrows, Jonathan Barrows (Abigail), Michael Smith (Ana), Kevin Smith, Laura Sackett (Jeff), Benjamin Smith (Adrianne), Peter Smith (Brittany), Timothy Smith (Rachel) and Marcus Smith (Emily). He is also survived by twenty-five great-grandchildren; and several nieces & nephews.
