He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Gerbel and Sophie Gerbel (Bittner). He is survived by: his son John Gerbel of St. Joseph; his grandson Ethan Jones of Riverview, FL; his former wife Susan Gerbel of St. Joseph; his brothers, Robert Gerbel (Carol) of St. Joseph and Carroll Gerbel (Linda) of Coronado, CA; and his nieces and nephews, Steven Gerbel (Claudine), Nancy Kodis (Jim), Karen Homan, Brad Gerbel and Lisa Gerbel.
Memorial Donations in Dean's name may be made to the Michigan Diabetes Association.
