He was predeceased by: his father Gordon Piersma; and his brother John Piersma. He is survived by: his mother Anne Piersma (Leestma) of Grand Rapids; his wife Rhoda Piersma of St. Joseph; his son Marshall Piersma; and his siblings, Gretchen Knoper (Randy) of Allendale, MI, Jeff Piersma (Deb) of Hudsonville and Dirk Piersma (Kathy) of Grandville.
