He was predeceased by: his parents, Erdman Schlender and Elvira Schlender (Metz); his parents-in-law, Richard and Joan Pelkey; and his sister-in-law Karen Pelkey-Hillegas.
He is survived by: his wife Lynn Schlender; his sons, Jeff Schlender, Gregg Schlender (Lisa), Brett Schlender and Jared Schlender (Sheyenne Delaney); his grandchildren, Colette Schlender, Ava Schlender and Noelle Schlender; his siblings, Margorie Ullrich, Marlene Walker and Dan Schlender; and his parents-in-law, Kenneth, Connie Conklin, Cheryl Pelkey, David, Kim Fritz, Terry and Sharna Pelkey.
