He was predeceased by: his wife Lela Mae Hall; his parents, John Blair and Pearlie Blair; and his aunt Alice Harper. He is survived by: his children, Edward Hall (Jackie), Shirley Gant, Deborah Hall-Holder (Michael), Regina Addison (Gregory), Dallas Hall, Jr., Leslie Peck (Kathy) and Jason Hall; his grandchildren, Meka Hall, Keith Hall, Bryant Hall, Nikol Hall, Takita Hall-Finch, Maria Holder, Dallas Hall, III, Angela Hall-Jarrett, Devonna Samples, Armani Robinson, Marcayl Shelton, D'Mari Addison and Serenity Hall; and his cousins, Sarita Graham and Elizabeth "Denny" Sanders. He is also survived by great-grandchildren and other relatives and friends.
