It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Barbara Karstens of Saint Joseph, Michigan, who passed away at the age of 85, on April 17, 2025. In the vast expanse of eternity, Barbara shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Barbara farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Mark Alexis and Theresa Alexis (Jackson); her husband Ronald Karstens; and her siblings, Margaret Brunell and Phillip Alexis.
She is survived by: her sister Sue Wood; her nieces, Kathryn Powers and Brenda Lyons; and her nephew Tom Wood Jr.. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, April 21st 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Starks & Menchinger Chapel (2650 Niles Rd, St Joseph, MI 49085). A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Trinity Lutheran Church (613 Court St, St Joseph, MI 49085).
