In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Arvilla had on those she encountered along her journey. Though Arvilla may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, her essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Mark John and Theresa Alexis (Jackson); her siblings, Philip Alexis Sr., Barbara Karstens (Alexis) and Margaret Brunell (Alexis); and her daughter Susan Kole (Wood).
She is survived by: her children, Brenda Lyons (Wood), Tom Wood, Jr. and Kathryn Powers (Wood). She is also survived by many grandchildren, great and great-great grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, April 28th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Starks & Menchinger Chapel (2650 Niles Rd, St Joseph, MI 49085). A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, April 29th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Bernard's Catholic Church (555 E Delaware Ave, Benton Harbor, MI 49022).
