He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur W. Seagren and Frances E. Seagren (Walstrom); his sister Carol Chavis Reinharts; his niece Jennifer Boyd; and his nephews, Christopher and Craig Chavis.
He is survived by: his wife Stella Gay Painter; his daughters, Amanda Rush (Michael) of St. Joseph and Stephanie Rockey (James) of St. Joseph; his grandchildren, Brandon Rockey, Natalie and Ryan Rush; and his nephew Jeffrey Chavis (Martina).
Memorial donations in Jim's name may be made to First Church of God-Benton Heights Campus or Marie Yeager Cancer Center in St. Joseph.
