It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alfred Vasta of Saint Joseph, Michigan, born in Forrest, Illinois, who passed away on October 9, 2021, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Josephine Vasta (Malamagi) and Joseph Vasta; his wife Bonnie Vasta; and his brothers, Robert and Edward Vasta.
He is survived by: his former wife Bonnie "Athanasia" Panagakos; his children, Sharon Arndt (Tom), Shirley Poplawski (Richard), Diane Heimel (Darrell), Alfred A. Vasta and Michael Vasta (Kristi); and his siblings, Lorraine Brown and Manny Vasta. He is also survived by eighteen grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandson.
