He was predeceased by: his parents, William Edward and Martha Elizabeth Bolam (Burkhart); his wife Donna Bolam; his grandson Andrew Bolam; and his siblings, Jerry Bolam, Gertrude "Annie" Zumbroegel, Lois Allen, Sanford Bolam, Bryon Bolam and Paul Daniel Bolam.

He is survived by: his children, Robert Steven Bolam (Pamela) of Howell, MI, Cindy Bolam (Gary Holmes) of Commerce Township, MI, Michael William Bolam (Susan) of Hartland, MI and Karen Crosby (Mark) of St. Johns, MI; his grandchildren, Christine Hunt (Chad), Michael Guy (Kacey), Tyler Crosby (Catherine), Jacob Crosby (Robyn), Alex Bolam (Sarah) and Amanda Markley (Michael); his great grandchildren, Randall, Sara, Mikaela and Theo; and his sister Martha Deschner. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
