He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Eaton and Hazel Ruth Hackett (Burhans); his granddaughter Miranda; and his siblings, John Hackett, Larry Hackett, Alice Hackett and Gloria Sweitzer.
He is survived by: his sons, Geoffrey Hackett (Cheryl) of St. Johns, MI, Brian Hackett of Lansing, MI and Andrew Hackett (Amy) of Dowagiac, MI; his granddaughters, Ashlyn, Olivia and Hailey; and his sister Lisa Smith. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
