He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph M. Schafer and Dora Schafer (Schueller); his daughter Nancy; and his great grandchild Reese. He is survived by: his spouse Arleita Jury; his children, Gary (Sue) of Goodrich, Bruce (Lois) of St. Johns, Terry (Amy) of Fowler, Kevin of St. Johns, Sandra Schafer (Allen Dault) of St. Johns and Brenda Antes (Randy) of Fowler; and his brothers, Anthony (Rose) and Jerry of St. Johns. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; two step grandchildren; two step great grandchildren.
