She was predeceased by: her parents, Stephen Hawke and Elizabeth Ellen Hawke (Kermeen); her husband Roger Nicholas Jorae; her daughter Laurie Kidder; her siblings, Bill Hawke and Edie Hawke; and her siblings-in-law, Bernard Jorae (Joan) and Betty Mankey (Ed).
She is survived by: her children, Kenneth Jorae (Debra) of Hagerstown, MD, Pamela Johnston (Mark) of Muskegon, MI and David Jorae of St. Johns, MI; her son-in-law Kim Kidder of St. Johns, MI; and her grandsons, Zachery Jorae, Steve Kidder (Kim) and Keith Kidder. She is also survived by four great- grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 10th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Smith Family Funeral Homes (104 E Cass St, St Johns, MI 48879). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 11th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, September 11th 2024 at the Mt. Rest Cemetery (706 E Steel St, St Johns, MI 48879).
