Leo D. Thurston Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Leo D. Thurston of Saint Johns, Michigan, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 30, 2025 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Milan "Mike" Thurston and Myrtle Thurston (Irving); his former wife Janet; his son Thomas Thurston; and his brother Milan "Roger" Thurston.
He is survived by: his children, Brenda Gilpin (Bill) and William Thurston; his stepchildren, Shelly Hathaway (Jeff Cantrell), Mark Hathaway (Linda) and Todd Hathaway (Ruth); his sister Jani Howell; and his sister-in-law Verna Thurston. He is also survived by his many grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren and many dear friends.
Memorials may be made in his name to the American Cancer Society, The Wounded Warrior Project, or to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
