He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Raymond Rossow and Beatrice Rossow; his wife Diane; his children, Tammy Simon (Brian) and Terry Rossow; his grandchildren, Eric, Chelsea and Nate Rossow; and his sister Anna Mae. He was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Laverne's honor to a veteran's organization of one's choice.
