He was predeceased by: his parents, Mary Rebecca Haines and Perry McSwain Durrance; his siblings, Rosalyn Connors and James Breedlove; and his cousin Robert Breedlove.

He is survived by: his children, Larry V., Aniesia Durrance of Laingsburg, MI, Laura Albensi of Irwin, PA, Justin and Stephanie Durrance of Okemos, MI.; his grandchildren, Brielle Durrance, Gabriel Durrance, Deziray Kioski, Devin Albensi, Kieran Albensi, Adelyn Durrance, Ella Durrance and Kellan Durrance; his nieces and nephews, Rhonda Waid, Robin Simek and Daniel Gibson; and his close friend Robin Doyen of St. Johns, MI.
