He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Snater and Julaine Snater (Droste); his wife Linda Fay Gilbert; his mother-in-law Jean Gilbert; and his niece Krista Garvey.

He is survived by: his son Arthur Snater; his parents-in-law, Gerald Gilbert and Nancy Morgret; his siblings, Julie Garvey (Kevin), John Snater (DeeDee), Janice Wing (Bill), Jerry Snater (Rose) and Jody Snater (Kendra); his close friends, Mike Baatz, Jim Falor, Steve Henning (Karen), Gary Slamka (Bernadette), Mikey Price, Charlie Thelen (Natalie) and John Thelen; and also, Deb Loudenbeck (Ken Bradley), Donna Beaudrie (Jim), Laurie Becker (Mick) and Glenn Gilbert (Shannon). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Smith Family Funeral Homes to help with Jeff's funeral expenses.
