He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Isadore Bast and Gertrude Bast (Karber); his former wife Helen Nemcik; his wife Marge Hallenbeck (Bissell); his children, Doug (Michelle) of Lake, MI, Cathy Kochensparger (John) of St. Johns, Carolyn Smith (Craig) of St. Johns, Carlene Deitrich (Todd) of St. Johns and Connie DeLong (Bruce) of St. Johns; his sister Mary Jean Kerr (Rick) of St. Johns; his stepchildren, Leisa Ratu (Pete), Steven Bissell (Teresa) and Kellie Seman; his brother Donald; and his grandsons, Brandon and Brennen DeLong.
