He was predeceased by: his father Robert D. Blackmer; and his brothers, Charles "Butch" and Johnny Blackmer. He is survived by: his mother Virginia L. Blackmer (Higgins); his daughters, Shawn Crowell (Brent) and Shannon Mitchell (Aaron); his grandchildren, Jonni of Taurean, CJ, Jordan, Michael, Devin, Katelyn, Dominic, Stephanie, Cassidy and Addison; and his siblings, Bob Blackmer, Louetta McLaren (John), Viola Martin (Kim) and Dennis Blackmer. He is also survived by many extended family members and dear friends.
Memorial contributions may be made in his name to the Basic Needs Center or to the American Cancer Society.
