She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest Frank and Edna M. Henning (Birdsley); her daughter Mary Jane Scharnweber; her daughter-in-law Marian Scharnweber; and her siblings, Lois Whitford (Joann Zimmerman), Joan Rennells and Richard Henning.

She is survived by: her husband Merritt B. Scharnweber of St. Johns, MI; her children, Kathryn Scharnweber of St. Johns, MI, Candice Scharnweber of Williamston, MI, Paul Scharnweber of Laingsburg, MI, Merritt (Amanda Scharnweber) and Margaret Haeck of St. Johns, MI; her grandchildren, Morgan, Mallory Scharnweber, Sarah and Larry Haeck; and her great grandchildren, Austin, Aubrey and Riley.

Visitation was held on Monday, December 16th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Smith Family Funeral Homes (104 E Cass St, St Johns, MI 48879). A funeral service was held on Monday, December 16th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
