He is survived by: his wife Shirley Ahrens of St. Ignace; his children, Michele Ahrens of Lake City, Heather Burhans (Chuck) of Stanwood, Walter Ahrens II of Indiana and Tracy Ahrens (Yvonne) of Lake City; and his siblings, Keith Ahrens, Paul Ahrens, Dave Ahrens, Gary Ahrens, Patsy Ahrens and Linda Edwards. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
