He was predeceased by: his parents, John Oja Jr. and Elma Elizabeth Oja (Karvonen); his wife Mary Brown-Fogelsonger Oja; his daughter Sheri Gould; and his siblings, Norman Oja, Ellen Oja Bennett, Raymond Oja, Paul "Monty" Oja, Ruth Oja Koljonen, Roy Oja, Calvin Oja, Elma Oja, Dorothy Oja Farley and Kenneth Oja.
He is survived by: his children, Jeff (Linda Fogelsonger), Kathleen (Don Tamlyn), Cynthia Oja Wright (Danika) and Matt (Sheri Oja); his son-in-law Mike Gould; his siblings, David of Madison Heights, Michigan and Anita Bousu of Bainbridge Island, Washington; and his great grandchildren, Jax, Macon, Brazen, Goldie, Abby, Andrew, Austin, Aiden, Bennette, Grant and Finn. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Masks will be required and COVID family distancing will be required.
