He was predeceased by: his parents, Elvin Smith and Agnes Smith (Closs); his son Elvin Smith III (Boo); his granddaughter Tara Stascak; his sister Kay Stascak; his sister-in-law Jannette Smith; his sister Esther; his brother-in-law Kit Langstaff; his brother Bob; his sister-in-law Margaret LeCount; and his parents-in-law, James and Elta Erskine.
He is survived by: his friends, Joe, Chum Frazier and Al Colegrove; his wife Sharon Erskine; his siblings, Ken, John Smith and Pat Smith; his brother-in-law Dick Stascak; his grandchildren, Paul, Andy, Sam Fitzpatrick, Nickie Stenson (Smith), Jake Smith, Josh and Tyler Stascak; and his nephews, Ken Smith and Tom Smith. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Mackinac County Animal Shelter in St. Ignace.
