It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dorothy Lucille (Sangraw) Pechta of Saint Ignace, Michigan, born in Manistique, Michigan, who passed away on December 1, 2023, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, George A. Sangraw and Gertrude M. Sangraw (Utech); her husband William Wesley; her brothers, Harold, Donald and Raymond Sangraw; her children, Stephen Pechta and Barbara Nelson; her in-laws, William and Lempi Pechta; and her siblings-in-law, Arthur Pechta (Frances), Jean Lindstrom (Bryce) and Effie Pollack (Alvin).
She is survived by: her children, Robert Pechta, Susan Ney (Kurt), Laurie Steiner (Dean) and William Pechta (Gwen); and her grandchildren, Wendy Hicks (Jon), Erik Nelson, Hailey Ney, Kelly Davidson-Adams (Chris), Brendon Steiner (Shannon), Lewis Steiner LaVasseur (Jake), Alyssa Pechta and William Pechta (Nikki). She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren, and eleven great-great grandchildren, as well as several nephews and nieces.
