He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Melvin and Eva Mariah Bennett (Hiser); his siblings, Thomas Bennett (Nancy), Gerald Bennett, Sylvia Coveyou and Geraldine LaPrairie; and his brothers-in-law, Melvin Spencer and Chester Kasper.
He is survived by: his wife Alice Bennett; his children, Tim Bennett (Tammy) of Bay City, Linda Pfeiffelmann (Tom) of St. Ignace, George Bennett (Jodi) of Sault Ste and Marie; his grandchildren, Heather Bennett, Lori Nisonger (Randy), Samantha Mundt, Brandon Mundt (Sarah), Emily Hill (David) and Christina Bennett (Todd); and his siblings, Helen Spencer of Texas, Merrial Kasper of Cedarville, Carol Cryderman (Jim) of Cedarville, Rhoda Beacom (Bill) of Pickford, Michigan and Ralph Bennett (Karen) of DeTour, Michigan. He is also survived by ten great-grandchildren.
