He was predeceased by: his parents, William Ervin Carothers of Brentwood and Mattie Elizabeth Lutz of Hocking County, Ohio.; his sister Billie Sue Carothers of Crossville; and his stepmother Isadora Phipps of Crossville, Tennessee.. He is survived by: his wife Barbara M. Rappl. He is also survived by cousins, and friends.
