He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Gawne and Ruth Gawne (Johnson); his wife Carol; his children, Jim, Kenny and Robin; and his siblings, Roger, Vicki and Janice.
He is survived by: his children, Patti Williams (Richard) of St. Charles, MI, Kathy Fritts of St. Helen, Karl Gawne Jr. (Marylee) of Oscoda, MI and Michelle Gawne of St. Louis, MI.; and his son-in-law Jim Lewis of Sarasota, FL. He is also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
