He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph and Minnie Tyson Sr. (Baker); and his siblings, Herb and Alice. He is survived by: his former wife Norma Jean Shook; his wife Jean Tyson; his children, Janis Steinhebel (Butch), Joseph G. Tyson, Charles Tyson (Peggy) and Jean O'Halloran (Mike); and his sister Betty Marie. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren.
Visitation for Joe will be held with precautions due to the current pandemic and limiting the number of attendees at a given time.
Memorial contributions can be made to the Paralyzed Veterans and the Ogemaw County Deer Refuge.
