He was predeceased by: his parents, Carol Lee Devault-Brazelton and Albert Scott Devault; his sisters, Danette Marie Devault and Sharie Lynn Devault; and his grandparents, Albert Henry, Vivian Adelade Devault, Donald Vance and Jeanette Dudley.

He is survived by: his children, Willis Horton, Evan Devault, Emma Devault and Jack Horton; his siblings, James "Jimmy" Scott Devault (Randi) of Mancelona and Suzanne Mary Devault of Roscommon; and his grandson Ethan Duane Ripley. He is also survived by 5 nieces and nephews and 7 great-nieces and nephews.
