She was predeceased by: her parents, Russell Trace and Rhea Trace (Bradley); her husband James S. Hay; her great grandchildren, Mia Jane and Juliet Rae; and her sisters, Dorothy O'Brien, Audrey Jefferson, Betty Alexander, Verna Miller and Margaret Reed.
She is survived by: her son Paul W. Short (Delia) of Marysville; her grandchildren, Paul W. Short II (Monica) of Port Huron, Russell A. Short (Stephanie) of East China and Delia Jane Linnemann (Justin) of Charleston; and her great grandchildren, Audrey Rae, Vivian Grace, Ella Jane of Port Huron, Roland Anthony, Avery Grace of East China, Jude Pablo and Jett Wesley of Charleston.
