It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joann (Peterson) Nikkel (Saint Clair, Michigan), born in Detroit, Michigan, who passed away on September 23, 2019, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred Krussman and Helen Krussman; her former husband James R. Peterson; and her brother Donald Krussman. She is survived by: her husband Wally Nikkel; her children, Krista Kuligowski (Mark), Brett Peterson (Maureen) and Kara Tulley (Bryan); her stepsons, Steve (Laura), Ralph (Teresa), Greg (Michele) and Jim Nikkel (Amy); her grandchildren, Lindsey Pacheco (Josh), Michael Kuligowski (Meghan), Hannah, Aidan Peterson, Corbin, Kelsey and Cameron Tulley; her great grandchild Elyce; and her sister-in-law Norma Krussman. She is also survived by 7 step great grandchildren.
