He was predeceased by: his parents, Ira Cooley and Edna Cooley; his son-in-law Jim Liebetreu; his siblings, Robert, George, Ira Cooley and Enid Rehahn; and his foster brother John Osborn.
He is survived by: his wife Joyce Cooley; his children, Diane Liebetreu and Richard Cooley (Wanda); his grandchildren, Mike Liebetreu (Sue), Jamie Mackley (Matt), John Liebetreu (Meagan), Angela Cooley-Hill and Robert Cooley (Trina); his great grandchildren, Katelyn (Andrew), Mitchell, Emily, Joshua, Wyatt, Andrew, Maxwell and Scarlett; his great great grandchild Layla; his siblings, Jack W. Lown (Ann) and Ann Kruse; and his caregiver Becca Wilkins. He is also survived by many brother and sister in-laws and many, many nieces and nephews.
