He was predeceased by: his parents, George George and Evelyn Hoemke Sr. George (Grace Krause); and his sister Connie Woodcox (Phil). He is survived by: his wife Grace; his sons, Jason Hoemke and Greg Wetherington; his grandchildren, Benny Hoemke, Jake Hoemke and Gracie Wetherington; and his siblings, Kathy Austin (Dan), Linda Scalzi, Beverly Brown, Nancy Hoemke, John Hoemke, Mike Hoemke, Janet Todoroff, Jeanne Valdes (Tony) and Judy (Tom).

Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM at the Young Colonial Chapel Funeral Home, Inc. (4061 St Clair Hwy, East China, MI 48054). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 from 4:30 PM to 5:00 PM at the same location.
