He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Socia and Olga Socia; and his siblings, Frank, Robert, Doug and Phyllis Johnson.

He is survived by: his wife Janet; his children, Donald Socia (Judy) and Julie Cahill (Steve); his grandchildren, Brent Cahill, Kelli Gauronskas (Chris), D. J. Socia, Blake Cahill, Janell Socia and Jaime Socia; and his great grandchild Easton Gauronskas. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
