He was predeceased by: his parents, Milford Hunter and Glenna Hunter; his spouse Bethel Stevens; and his siblings, Harold Hunter, Francis Barlow, Joseph Hunter, Naomia Elam, Alice Faye and Lois Candar.

He is survived by: his children, Gary Hunter and Tammy Badger (Don); his grandsons, Christopher Badger (Lisa) and Paul Badger (Melissa); his great grandchildren, Tyler, Kadie, Allison and Jayden Badger; and his sister Brenda Berry (Roger). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
