Virginia Velas Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Virginia Velas (Saint Clair Shores, Michigan), who passed away on November 20, 2020, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Petro Botteas and Andonia Botteas (Hillakas); her daughter Helen (Velas) of Avila; her grandchildren, Evie and Anton; her brother Bill; her sisters-in-law, Helen and Effie; her husband George; her daughters, Antonia "Toni" and Theodora "Dora"; and her brothers, Nick, Paul and Steve. She was also cherished by many loving nieces and nephews.
Due to COVID-19, with the health and safety of all who join us in mind, CDC guidelines will be followed. Facemasks and hand sanitizer will be provided, and social distancing will be imperative.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Assumption Greek Orthodox Church would be greatly appreciated.
