He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo Ebner and Marie Ebner; his wife Jean; and his sister Marcia Rindfuss. He is survived by: his children, Laura Vary (Bill), Peter M. Ebner (Susan) and Brian Ebner (Joan). He is also survived by eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
